eSports are becoming a multi-billion dollar business in China. The finals of the World Electronic Sports Games, the largest competition in the industry, are currently being held in Changzhou, in east China’s Jiangsu Province. The event covers four major games: DOTA2, Starcraft 2, Hearthstone and Counter Strike Go. Over 60,000 players from some 120 countries and regions are participating in the games, with a total prize pool of 5.5 million US dollars. The champions will be unveiled on Sunday night.
