In this video, I give a tutorial on how to simulate sports games in excel using monte carlo simulations and explain other ways in which monte carlo simulations can be used.
Hi Riley. I'm a bit late to the party but love the content. I have a quick question if you wouldn't mind answering… How are you calculating the mean values to feed into the Poisson distribution table?
Really good video. We should collaborate making fantasy predictions for players for various sports. Im in the making of a functional website and am on twitter @vincentius_p hit me up and we can make some money.
liked and subscribed, do you know how to incorprate player stats too? you see the point table here but is it possible to add players in this simulation and see the player stats after every game and at the end the players with the most goals, the most assists and so on. can you make a video about that too if you have time? that would be really helpful. Thanks!!!
Hi Riley Just ran across this. Great stuff man. Any more videos to come? I have my own filters to handicap sports but something like this would work wonders to some of my systems. Looking forward to any other videos. Thank you and good luck.
I am very interested in your software and smarts and I would like to participate. I would like to communicate directly with you. Can you please email me at samfood95@gmail.com I have some questions for you so please contact me. My name is Sam. Thanks.
you gotta write a script next time you cant be this all over the place i have no idea whats goin on lol. you helped with some things though so thanks for that
Hi Riley, great video and very useful. Question on this. If I am going to use this for football, obviously points are mostly scored in 3s and 7s. How can I use the random variable so that I get "football scores" like 24-17 instead of scores that don't make any sense like 21-4? Thanks!
Great video!!! I've incorporated it into Premier League. I wonder how I can calculate the draw from the Monte Carlo simulation? Also asian handicap and over under?
